A Different Kind of Business Card

Last week when I ran out, I realized I didn’t want a business card yet again.

Most people don’t know what to do with them. It feels weird to hand them out if you’re not in the “business of selling something.”

And, yet, when I hand someone a token of appreciation sometimes they ask, “So you just give away your art for free?

I want to respond in an eloquent way without going into a tiny rant about my philosophy.

So, inspired by Jes Raymond and Jen Mayer | Makeist here is my business card zine.

I wanted something people could hold—and maybe even hold onto. Something that made them pause.

Most business cards tell you what someone does—I wanted mine to show you what matters to me.

Connection. Creativity. Generosity. Presence.

The handing of this zine doesn’t have to lead to a transaction. I made it simply because it feels good to make. This is not to impress or “convert” someone into a subscriber—it’s simply another way to share.

We don’t have to do things the “right” way. We can experiment. Play. Make it personal. Make it real.

Feedback, thoughts, opinions, critique are invited.
