Experimental Ripple Day 3
Today’s session didn’t unfold the way I imagined—and that’s exactly the beauty of it. I came in with a loose vision, tried a few new techniques (including distress inks, a stencil, and even the gel plate for a focal point), but quickly realized things were not going per "plan."
Multiple times, I found myself shifting gears, letting go of what I thought these tokens should become and following what they wanted to be instead.
What emerged instead were these layered, unexpected tokens—each shaped as much by what didn’t work as by what did.
The part we often skip over—the quiet shifts, the experiments that go sideways, the moments we choose to pivot instead of push—is the part that speaks to me the most.
This is what I love most about these sessions: they’re not about making perfect things, but about staying present with the imperfect, beautiful process of letting something new emerge.
There’s no commentary here, no step-by-step. Just the quiet honesty of the process, captured in real time.
I hope watching this gives you permission to follow your own detours—with heart.
