Experimental Ripple Day 4

Today’s session was a little different. Instead of working on just a few tokens from start to finish, I chose to begin many—letting a single hand-drawn leaf motif guide the rhythm of my making.

Each token became a variation on that form, explored through water-soluble oil paints, metallic watercolors, and soft layering techniques.

None of them are fully finished—and that feels right.

This practice isn’t about arriving; it’s about staying with the same shape and letting it speak in different ways…letting texture emerge without rushing it.

I’ll return to these tomorrow, but for now, they hold the imprint of a still-unfolding gesture.

Want to know more about what these tokens are? Here’s a deeper look.
